What we are trying to say is that when you appoint a Contractor to undertake works it’s a partnership. It’s not a one way delivery. Each party has a responsibility, and non-more so than great communication. Before appointing a Contractor you need to think about, if things went wrong would I be able to have a sensible and constructive conversation with them, to arrive at a sensible conclusion, or am I likely to have a full blown argument. It sounds simple, but in reality, the stress of Builders working in your home can lead to scary confrontation, if they can’t or simply won’t communicate sensibly.
